On Aug. 4, 2001, a young Saudi named Mohammed Al-Qahtani tried to gain entry into the United States via the airport in Orlando Florida but was denied by an immigration inspector who found him highly suspicious. Al-Qahtani was sent home.

Pentagon: Ex-Gitmo Detainees Return to Battlefield

In a report released by the Pentagon, a total of 61 former Gitmo detainees are believed to have returned to terrorism. Eighteen of those men have been confirmed as such — though intelligence, photographs, fingerprints and other information, according to Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell.
