Could Terrorists Hack Air Traffic Controls?
By Annie Jacobsen in category The Al-Qaeda Threat
Have terrorist training camps moved from Afghan caves to Internet cafés? Former British Parliamentarian, Lady Olga Maitland, thinks so. Maitland recently spoke to an audience at a British Defense Security Forum expressing her concern that terrorists may try to hack air traffic control systems around the world. The World Tribune says this sentiment is "echoed by strategists in NATO."
Terrorists currently operate more than 7,000 websites offering instructions in everything from bomb making to kidnapping to hacking into banking systems. Lady Maitland believes western governments are doing little to monitor the growing threat of Internet Jihad.
