Former FAA Special Agent Brian Sullivan is featured in a Boston Herald article which provides details on little-known lawsuits filed by 9/11 families who opted out of the government's settlement. The New York Times also writes about the lawsuits here.

Brian Sullivan is an outspoken critic of the Department of Homeland Security's overuse of the Sensitive Security Information (SSI) stamp — also known as the CYA stamp. As a Special Agent for the FAA before 9/11, Sullivan was trained in the top-secret classification process and has years of experience classifying aviation documents. Sullivan believes the SSI stamp threatens national security because it allows officials to hide behind classified documents which, if made public, would reveal past negligence and thereby encourage future accountability.

Sullivan believes that the current lawsuit could force officials to unclassify secret documents that the even 9/11 Commission Report proceedings were unable to make public.
